A little space to simply receive.

So much of life asks us to do something. Solve the problem. Make the decision. Take care of someone. Figure out what comes next.

Reiki offers something different: an opportunity to pause, soften, and simply notice what’s happening within you.

You don’t need to know anything about energy work, meditate regularly, or even be sure what you believe about Reiki. You’re allowed to simply be curious.

So... what exactly is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy-based practice centered around relaxation, intentionality, and well-being.

Rather than asking you to talk, analyze, or figure something out, Reiki invites you to slow down and notice. You might become aware of your breathing, tension you’ve been holding, warmth or tingling, an emotion that surfaces, or simply a sense of relaxation.

You may also notice very little at all, and that’s okay. There isn’t a “right” way to experience Reiki.

Think of it less as something you have to understand perfectly and more as an invitation to pause.

What does the body have to do with it?

We spend a lot of time living from the neck up … thinking, planning, worrying, analyzing, and moving on to whatever comes next.

Reiki offers an opportunity to bring some of that attention back to the body. You may notice your breathing, areas of tension, physical sensations, emotions, or simply what it feels like to be still for a moment.

This gentle noticing shares something with many body-based, or somatic, practices: the understanding that our experiences aren't only things we think about. We experience them through our bodies, too.

Reiki isn't a replacement for therapy, medical care, or evidence-based somatic treatment. I think of it as another gentle tool for creating space to slow down, notice, and reconnect with yourself.

Sometimes reconnecting with yourself begins by simply noticing what's already there.

And what about chakras?

You may hear the word chakra come up in Reiki and other energy-based practices. Chakras are traditionally understood as energy centers associated with different areas of the body and aspects of our experience. I like to think of them as another framework for checking in with yourself. A way to get curious about what might need a little more attention.

Wait... Reiki can be done from a distance?

Yes, and I know that can sound a little unusual if Reiki is new to you.

In Reiki practice, distance Reiki is based on the belief that the practitioner and recipient don't need to be physically together for the practice to take place. Instead of meeting in person, you receive from wherever you feel comfortable: your couch, your bed, a favorite chair, or a quiet corner of your home.

At your scheduled time, I facilitate the Reiki practice remotely while you simply give yourself permission to pause. You might choose to rest, listen to music, journal, meditate, or do absolutely nothing at all.

You don't need special supplies, a perfectly quiet house, or an elaborate ritual. You simply create whatever little bit of space you can.

What might I experience?

Everyone's experience is different. Some people describe deep relaxation, warmth, tingling, emotional awareness, imagery, or a sense of calm. Your experience may also change from one Reiki session to another.

The purpose isn't to chase a particular sensation. Reiki offers intentional time to slow down, receive, and reconnect with yourself. Sometimes the most meaningful part is simply giving yourself that space and noticing what unfolds.

Ways to experience Reiki with me.

THE GENTLE PAUSE
Individual Distance Reiki | 20–30 minutes | $40

SUNDAY EVENING RESET
Weekly Collective Distance Reiki | $10 per reset

A small, accessible ritual for the end of the week. Reiki is offered collectively to everyone who joins that evening, giving you intentional space to pause, receive, and reset before stepping into the week ahead.

CRYSTAL INTENTION GRID
Personalized Reiki + Intention | $35

Share an intention you'd like support around, and I'll create a personalized crystal grid centered around it. The grid is held with Reiki and intention, and you'll receive a photo of your grid along with a personal reflection afterward.

A note about energy exchange.

In Reiki traditions, you may hear the phrase energy exchange. To me, it's a reminder that giving and receiving can exist in balance.

The exchange doesn't have to be elaborate or purely financial. It can take many forms. Within my practice, payment honors the time, intention, preparation, and energy I bring to the experience while allowing me to continue offering this work.

I intentionally keep my Reiki offerings accessible because I believe meaningful moments of rest, reflection, and connection don't have to be extravagant.

Reiki you can hold.

Reiki doesn't always have to exist within a session. I also love exploring ways to bring together Reiki, creativity, and intention through original art.

Each piece is created intentionally and infused with Reiki, offering something tangible you can keep, display, or return to as a reminder of the intention it holds.

Have something meaningful in mind?

I welcome commissions. Tell me a little about what you're envisioning, including an intention, feeling, colors, imagery, or meaning you'd like the piece to hold, and we'll explore what might take shape.

Curious about Reiki?

You don't need to know exactly what you're looking for before reaching out. If you're curious about Reiki, wondering which experience might be right for you, or simply have a question, you're welcome to connect.
